To celebrate 10 years of God's grace and blessings since St. Matthew's Church was consecrated in Tiong Bahru, we will be having a carnival, followed by an evening of thanksgiving and praise & worship! The cell groups and various ministries have come together to bring you an afternoon and evening that will be remembered for many years to come.
St. Matthew's Church was founded in 1902 and has came a long way from our humble beginnings, sharing a premise with St. Peter's Church in Stamford Road, to our fondly remembered times at Neil Road, and finally, after over a hundred years, we find ourselves giving thanks to God for His countless blessings in bringing us to Eng Hoon Street in 2005.
JUBILATION is an event that aims to bring together all the members of SMC, present, past and by His calling, those who will join our family in Christ in the future as well, for an afternoon of fun and an evening of heartfelt re-dedication and thankfulness to our Lord.
We look forward to seeing you at this event that should not be missed!
With an extensive range of food from Fragrant Laksa Bee Hoon, Spicy Mee Siam, Lemak Sedap Curry Chicken and so many more, you would probably be prudent to save your breakfast and lunch stomach to tuck into the gastronomic goodness awaiting you! Many of the food items are handmade by our members with love, and amongst these gems are recipes that span generations!
GAME STALLS
NERF Gun Fights anybody? Or would you like to try your hand at a Retro Games and versus some of our best? Winner takes it all! Try matching your stamina and agility with our youth team and you may yet surprise yourself! Either way, you will need to burn some calories from indulging in too much awesome food!
CARNIVAL
What is a typical Singaporean Carnival without a true blue Flea Market and Auction? To make things even better, every single dollar will go towards a good course! Grab your wallets and see what treasures you can find here, you will not be disappointed! For the nostalgic, there will be limited edition SMC Memorabilia available as well, cups, shirts, pens which were only produced for a certain year of celebration for SMC!
Giving thanks to our God runs in every fibre of our being. Starting at 7pm, we will come together as a family of God to pray, to give thanks for His faithfulness and rededicate our lives to the glory of God. Being the highlight of JUBILATION!, the Night of Worship will be unlike anything that has ever been done in St. Matthew's Church before. Let us never forget the faithfulness that God has shown us over the years, and trust Him to lead us in the days ahead!
